That’s where I come in.

how we work

step 1: getting started

Once you have filled out the inquiry form, we’ll schedule a free consultation call on Zoom that way I can get to know you, your business, and brand goals a bit better and you can get to know me. Essentially, I’m interviewing to be your sidekick.

step 2: prep stage

So, you’ve officially been booked and have made your 30% deposit; now, we get you set up in Asana (what we’ll be using to manage your project) and you’ll access your homework. Don’t worry, this will be a fun experience. Promise.

step 3: defining your brand

If you have opted to also get your brand designed by us, we will complete that process before heading to your site. If you already have a brand you love, we will closely review it along with your homework to build a solid foundation for the website.

step 4: designing your site

We will get started by designing the most important page on your site: the homepage. There will be two revision rounds that way we can get it just right and then we’ll move onto the other pages you have requested to be included.

step 5: adding your content

While designing your site, I would have included placeholder text and images to give you an idea of how it’d look. Once you’ve given me the thumbs up on the design, I will make the finishing touches by adding the content you’ve shared with me.

step 6: launch party!

Your site (homepage + at least 4 other pages) is complete and you couldn’t be more excited if you tried. When everything’s in place, we’ll launch your new site to the world and throw the virtual confetti to celebrate. It’s party time!

 PERFECT FOR: Bloggers, freelancers, and other creatives who have a template they’d love to make tweaks to but are not comfortable or have the time to do it themselves.

We’ll install the WordPress template of your choice, add your images and content, and make slight adjustments (e.g. color, uploading your logo, etc.) so that it fits with your brand.

This is great for those 0-2 years into their business.

Which package should I choose?

Each business will have different needs depending on the goals you’d like to achieve. For instance, if you have a template you’re totally in love with and just want help tweaking the colors/images so that it best fits your brand, then your best bet will likely be the Basic package.

Having said that, I am here to help and will be happy to make a recommendation during our free consultation call. If the current packages you see don’t match exactly what you’re looking for, let me know as we can work on a specialized custom package for you.

What's a revision round?

A revision round allows us to perfect your brand and/or website by sharing your thoughts and constructive feedback of the designs I have presented. Each package comes with 2 revision rounds which are applicable to when we hit certain milestones (e.g. moodboard, logo, homepage design, etc.) It’s important for the process that you collect your thoughts before sending feedback to minimize any back-and-forth. If you’d like extra revisions, we’d be happy to do that for you at a prorated rate.

Should I use WordPress or Squarespace?

There are many benefits to choosing either WordPress or Squarespace. Typically, Squarespace is a great platform if you are in the beginning stages of your business, aren’t very tech-savvy, or need a simple, beautiful website that you are fairly certain you won’t outgrow.

WordPress, on the other hand, is robust and allows you to do just about anything. It’s a wonderful choice for creatives who expect to grow or would love the option to expand (think businesses that open a shop or start a podcast). The Bold Ones is run on WordPress.

If you are still unsure, we can go over it together and find the platform that is perfect for you and your goals.

How does payment work?

My aim is to make payment as easy and painless as possible. If we decide we’re a good match, you will make a 30% deposit to reserve your design slot. Then 35% will be due no later than the day before the project’s start date and the final 35% will be due when the project is complete.

For example, if you choose the Classic package, a deposit of $750 (30%) is made to reserve your slot. A day before the project is set to start $875 (35%) is due. The final $875 is due when the project is complete (prior to sending the final files) for a total of $2500.

Payment can be made via Paypal, Credit Card, Bank transfer, or even Venmo.

*If you’ve opted to purchase any premium items (e.g. native font files or stock photos), the price will be added onto your final invoice total.

What if I don't have content ready?

That will not be a problem in completing your project. If you don’t have content ready, I will add placeholder text (i.e. Lorem ipsum) and premium stock images so that you can still get a great idea of how your site will look. Plus, I will be sure to train you on how you can easily add and edit your content. This way, you have the power to make changes as you see fit.

Can you create a custom package for me?

Yes, our packages do have add-on options available. If you don’t see a package that quite works for you, let me know in the Inquiry Form and I’ll be sure to share options in our free consultation call.
